We Must Leave The War Zone Immediately!!!
If you consider that there have been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraqi theater of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000.
The rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000. That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in our Nation’s Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.
Conclusion: We should immediately pull out of Washington D.C. !!!

UN CONFIRMS SADDAM SMUGGLED WMD OUT OF IRAQ IN 2003
[Ed. note – Thanks to “SonicFrog” for the link to the actual UN report in the comments, and for pointing out to me that this story is over a year old. I missed the date when I first posted it because I wrongly assumed that this was new news. After all, this is so important in debunking the myth that there were no WMD in Iraq, that I was naive to think that we would have heard about this from the NYTCNNABCNBC before now.]
Well, no kidding. Anyone with a brain knows this since everyone from Madeleine Albright to Bill Clinton to Kofi Annan to Jacques Chirac were convinced that Saddam had WMD.
But now… at last… the UN agency tasked with finding and dismantling Saddam’s weapons has come to the conclusion that I assumed years ago. Saddam dismantled his WMD stockpile and smuggled them out of his country before the invasion.
UN Confirms: WMDs Smuggled Out of Iraq – The Vanguard
Late last week, the UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) briefed the Security Council on Saddam’s lightning-fast dismantling of missile and WMD sites before and during the war. UNMOVIC executive chairman Demetrius Perricos detailed not only the export of thousands of tons of missile components, nuclear reactor vessels and fermenters for chemical and biological warheads, but also the discovery of many (but not most) of these items – with UN inspection tags still on them — as far afield as Jordan, Turkey and even Holland.
Notably absent from that list is Iraq’s western neighbor Syria, ruled by its own Baath Party just like Saddam’s and closed to even the thought of an UNMOVIC inspection. Israeli intelligence has been reporting the large-scale smuggling of Saddam’s WMD program across the Syrian border since at least two months before the war. Syria has long been the world’s foremost state-sponsor of terrorism.

C-SPAN Caller: Democrats Act Like French People!
Just nearly fell off my chair as a woman from Sarasota, Florida called into C-SPAN to express her support of our troops and the mission of democracy in the Middle East.
“If the Democrats want to act like French people, that’s their problem. But we are Americans.”
An observation: it is obvious which C-SPAN callers are reading their LibDemSur-moonbat-faxed talking points and those who truly have their own sincere independent thoughts.

BBC: Mideast Embracing Democracy
There is a wide range of democratisation across the Middle East, a survey by a leading research and advisory firm has found.
The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) ranked 20 countries on 15 indicators of political and civil liberty.
The Index of Political Freedom lists Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Iraq and the Palestinian Territories as the most democratic parts of the region.
Why did I bold the three nations of Lebanon, Iraq and Palestine? Their earthquake moves toward democracy are as the direct result of the Bush Doctrine.
Take that, “Democrat” Party of America!

The New Republican Party Symbol?
US House to Vote on Iraq Withdrawal Tonight
(hat tip: GayOrbit)
House GOP Seeks Quick Vote On Iraq Pullout – AP
House Republicans, seeing an opportunity, maneuvered for a quick vote and swift rejection Friday of a Democratic lawmaker’s call for an immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq. “We want to make sure that we support our troops that are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan,” said Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill. “We will not retreat.” House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi of California had no immediate reaction to the idea of a quick vote before Congress leaves Washington for two weeks.
GOP leaders decided to act little more than 24 hours after Rep. John Murtha, a hawkish Democrat with close ties to the military, said the time had come to pull out the troops. By forcing the issue to a vote, Republicans placed many Democrats in a politically unappealing position — whether to side with Murtha and expose themselves to attacks from the White House and congressional Republicans, or whether to oppose him and risk angering the voters that polls show want an end to the conflict.
Murtha offered a resolution that would force the president to withdraw the nearly 160,000 troops in Iraq “at the earliest practicable date.” It would establish a quick-reaction force and a nearby presence of Marines in the region.
House Republicans planned to put to a vote — and reject — their own resolution that simply says: “It is the sense of the House of Representatives that the deployment of United States forces in Iraq be terminated immediately.” Most Republicans oppose Murtha’s plan, and some Democrats also have been reluctant to back his position.
As Don at GayOrbit says to Democrats…. sometimes you get what you ask for.
Bwa-ha-ha-ha. The Party of Surrender gets to have its Members go on the record in support of its defeatist platform.
You can rest assured I will print all of the “YES” votes right here later on tonight.

College Professor Urges Soldiers to Shoot Their Officers… For Freedom
I heard about this on Sean Hannity’s radio program yesterday and it sickened my stomach.
Warren Community College English professor, John Daly, said that “Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors.” Rebecca Beach, a freshman at Warren Community College in Washington, New Jersey, received this unexpected reply to a recent email she sent the faculty at her school announcing the appearance of decorated Iraq war hero, Lt. Col. Scott Rutter, on Thursday, November 17 to discuss America’s accomplishments in Iraq.
Full text of email from Warren Community College Professor John Daly:
November 13, 2005
Dear Rebecca:
I am asking my students to boycott your event. I am also going to ask others to boycott it. Your literature and signs in the entrance lobby look like fascist propaganda and is extremely offensive. Your main poster “Communism killed 100,000,000” is not only untrue, but ignores the fact that CAPITALISM has killed many more and the evidence for that can be seen in the daily news papers.
The U.S. government can fly to dominate the people of Iraq in 12 hours, yet it took them five days to assist the people devastated by huricane Katrina. Racism and profits were key to their priorities. Exxon, by the way, made $9 Billion in profits this last quarter–their highest proft margin ever. Thanks to the students of WCCC and other poor and working class people who are recruited to fight and die for EXXON and other corporations who earning megaprofits from their imperialist plunders.
If you want to count the number of deaths based on political systems, you can begin with the more than a million children who have died in Iraq from U.S.-imposed sanctions and war. Or the million African American people who died from lack of access to healthcare in the US over the last 10 years.
I will continue to expose your right-wing, anti-people politics until groups like your won’t dare show their face on a college campus. Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors and fight for just causes and for people’s needs–such freedom fighters can be counted throughout American history and they certainly will be counted again.
Prof. John Daly

I am a proud contributor to the Young America’s Foundation (the group that keeps the Ronald Reagan Ranch in Santa Barbara going) and am glad to see this young, brave American woman speaking out. Sounds like Prof. Daly and Matt (American democracy is “immoral”) Foreman would get along well in their socialist utopia.

Google Illustrates Democrats Iraq Exit Plan
Democrats defeat “war in Iraq” – 2,120,000 hits
Democrats victory “war in Iraq” – 1,770,000 hits
That contrasts with….
Bush victory “war in Iraq” – 2,370,000 hits
Bush defeat “war in Iraq” – 1,740,000 hits
Now who is undermining the war effort with their enemy-enabling rhetoric?

Bad Week For Bush Haters
The Special Prosecutor’s entire investigation into who allegedly leaked Valerie Plame’s allegedly covert status has “sand thrown in its eyes” by one of the liberal media’s darlings. (Woodward Was Told Of Plame More Than Two Years Ago – WaPo.)
The 9/11 Commission is shown to be the fraud that it always was.
Maybe next week, some Democrats will actually put forward a plan to win the global war on terror? But don’t hold your breath.
After all it is has been 1,528 days since our nation was attacked by al-Qaeda (for the umpteenth time since 1992) on September 11th.

Before Iraq War, Bush Critic Feared Osama Might “Boogie to Baghdad”
Since Byron York regrets that so few in the media have picked up on a catchy expression by one of the many people who mispresents his own statments in order to criticize President Bush and so gain media attention, I decided to post on that very expression.
You see, when Richard Clarke, the top White House counterterrorism official in the Clinton Administration, began to understand the level of Bush-hatred in the media, he wrote a book critical of the current Administration’s attitude toward the terrorist threat. He chnaged some of his past opinions and mispresented his views in order to better attack the president. Given this man’s lambasting of that much-reviled (in media circles) Administration, he got top billing on 60 Minutes and soon became the darling of the MSM and its preferred political party–the Democrats.
All were certain that his revelations would help bring down President Bush. After W’s defeat in the 2004 election, most assumed Clarke would get a top post in the Kerry Administraiton. Fortunately, that did not come to pass.
Will, despite Mr. Clarke’s frequent criticism of President Bush, his words prior to the liberation of Iraq help prove that the president made a strong case for war. Indeed, they help debunk the spurious charge that that good man lied in making that case. Well aware of the relationship between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein, Mr. Clarke “believed that if the United States made bin Laden’s situation too hot in Afghanistan, then, in Clarke’s non-famous words, ‘old wily Osama will likely boogie to Baghdad.’” Please read all of Mr. York’s piece which can be easily confirmed by checking out the 9/11 Commission Report (p. 134).
The more facts come out, the more apparent it becomes that not only did the president not lie, but that he made a very strong case for leading our nation to war against a bloodthirsty tyrant who, while in power, had been busy building relationships with terrorists bent on attacking America.
Thanks to President Bush, that dictator is no longer in power and can’t very well build relationships with terrorists from a prison cell.

Our exit strategy is victory
Like the folks at Powerline, I don’t always agree with the senior Senator from Arizona. But, when John McCain is right, he’s right, particularly on foreign affairs/military policy (where he usually agrees with the president) and on federal spending (where he is frequently at odds with the Administration). In taking issue with those fair-weather Democrats demanding a timetable for our troops withdrawal from Iraq, the good man from the Grand Canyon State has this to say:
Anyone reading the amendment gets the sense that the Senate’s foremost objective is the draw-down of American troops. What it should have said is that America’s first goal in Iraq is not to withdraw troops, but to win the war. All other policy decisions we make should support, and be subordinate to, the successful completion of our mission.
Morality, national security and the honor our fallen deserve all compel us to see our mission in Iraq through to victory. . . .
We have told insurgents that their violence does grind us down, that their horrific acts might be successful. But these are precisely the wrong messages. Our exit strategy in Iraq is not the withdrawal of our troops, it is victory.
Exactly.
Quote of the Day
“The President and I cannot prevent certain politicians from losing their memory, or their backbone – but we’re not going to sit by and let them rewrite history.”
–Vice President Cheney (Via Polipundit)
Bush Fights Back Against Democrat Terror Appeasers
“The stakes in the global War on Terror are too high, and the national interest is too important, for politicians to throw out false charges.
These baseless attacks send the wrong signal to our troops and to an enemy that is questioning America’s will.
As our troops fight a ruthless enemy determined to destroy our way of life, they deserve to know that their elected leaders who send them to war continue to stand behind them.
Our troops deserve to know that this support will remain firm when the going gets tough.
And our troops deserve to know that whatever our differences in Washington, our will is strong, our Nation is united, and we will settle for nothing less than victory.” — President George W. Bush, November 11, 2005
(Note… as Jordanians yell “to hell with Zarqawi”, elected US Democrats still think President Bush is the enemy and embrace the Michael Moore philosophy. That says a lot to me about the Liberals’ true desire to fight the War on Terror and protect me and my family and friends.)

Celebrating The American Soldier

In honor of Veteran’s Day, I’d like to join with my fellow gay bloggers who are doing military-related postings today. Mine is pretty simple. I admire every man and woman who has sacrificed, and continues to sacrifice, in order to protect my freedom. I have a number of friends who serve or have served in our armed forces. They are among the most upstanding Americans I have ever met in my life.
Finally, I dedicate this post to my Dad — Bruce M. Carroll, Sr. — an Air Force veteran who served during Vietnam. While he made it through the war, he left the Earth way too soon and I am now older than he was when he died. But I have always admired his service to our country and salute him today as well. Dad, this is for you….
American Soldier by Toby Keith
I’m just trying to be a father
Raise a daughter and a son
Be a lover to their mother
Everything to everyone
Up and at ’em, bright and early
I’m all business in my suit
Yeah, I’m dressed up for success
From my head down to my boots
I don’t do it for the money
There’s bills that I can’t pay
I don’t do it for the glory
I just do it anyway
Providing for our future’s my responsibility
Yeah I’m real good under pressure
Being all that I can be
And I can’t call in sick on Mondays
when the weekends been too strong
I just work straight through the holidays
And sometimes all night long
You can bet that I stand ready when the wolf growls at the door
Hey, I’m solid, hey I’m steady, hey, I’m true down to the core
And I will always do my duty no matter what the price
I’ve counted up the cost, I know the sacrifice
Oh, and I don’t want to die for you
but if dyin’s asked of me
I’ll bear that cross with honor
’cause freedom don’t come free
I’m an American soldier, an American
beside my brothers and my sisters I will proudly take a stand
When Liberty’s in jeopardy, I will always do what’s right
I’m out here on the front line
Sleep’in in peace at night
American soldier, I’m an American soldier

President To Send Five Marines To Quell French Riots
President Bush has authorized the Joint Chiefs to begin drawing up a battle plan to pull France’s ass out of the fire again. Facing an apparent overwhelming force of up to 400 pissed off teenagers Mr. Bush doubts France’s ability to hold off the little pissants. “Hell, if the last two world wars are any indication, I would expect France to surrender any day now”, said Bush.
Joint Chiefs head, Gen. Peter Pace, warned the President that it might be necessary to send up to 5 marines to get things under control. The general admitted that 5 marines may be overkill but he wanted to get this thing under control within 24 hours of arriving on scene. He stated he was having a hard time finding even one marine to help those ungrateful bastards out for a third time but thought that he could persuade a few women marines to do the job before they went on pregnancy leave.
President Bush asked Gen. Pace to get our marines out of there as soon as possible after order was restored. He also reminded Gen. Pace to make sure the marines did not take soap, razors, or deodorant with them. The least they stand out the better.
In an unrelated matter, President Bush told reporters that he was considering a “Flu for Oil” Program to ease our country’s energy problem and prevent the upcoming pandemic. Nobody had a clue as to what the hell he was talking about.

Tampa Gay Rights Group Shows Bush As Hitler

(click on photo to view QueerTampa webpage)
In a email-distributed newsletter and on their website, the so-called gay rights group “Queer Tampa” visualizes President Bush, who freed 50 million Muslims from tyranny, as morphing into Nazi dictator and mass murderer of millions Adolf Hitler.
One member of the email distribution list protested the photo and asked to be removed from the list. Here is the response he received from Queer Tampa. Please note that no individual at the organization had the courage to put their name on this ridiculous and hyperbolic email.
Thank you for your input. We are indeed sorry to see you go as the result of one provocative graphic.
Although our opinion is that it is tough to point to any positive developments in the past five years in our Nation’s Safety, Economy or Civil Rights, we do value everyone’s right not only to their opinion but also to their right to express it. Our hope is that we all remain vigilant in preserving that right and that we continue to fight for equal protection under the law for all citizens, not just the heterosexual ones.
I suppose no repeat attack on our mainland since 9/11 doesn’t count for them? And I guess the many recent pro-LGBT Supreme Court decisions, including yesterday’s, fell under their radar screen? Methinks this group knows about them wicked gay concentration camps being built in Montana by John Ashcroft!! After all, where has he been for the past two years??!!
Likewise, we support the Constitution Of The United States and the “Separation of Powers” and find ourselves frightened by any attempts to thwart that document, to abuse the Bill of Rights, make unjustified acts of war, allow the looting of our economy by private enterprise or attempts to limit the free press either by bullying tactics or the use of misinformation via government sponsored propaganda campaigns. Any attempt to rescind The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 is in our view a crime against the people of the United States and clearly a precursor to a police state. Additionally, the use of fear or “terror” to gain control of the masses is nothing short of Hitler and Stalinist tactics and should be questioned and resisted by all free thinking people.
Let’s see, Congress authorized all military action that took place since 9/11, thereby following the Constitution. And the only people we need to fear are those that have been trained by a worldwide Islamist movement to kill innocent Americans, like this delusional un-named lefty from Tampa who speaks for “Queer Tampa”.
We hope you will respect this alternate opinion.
You mean just like you “respect” other people’s opinions that stray from the anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-capitalist Leftist party line? Yeah, right.
Best Regards,

I’d encourage all of you to email Queer Tampa and let them hear from people who still believe America is the greatest country on earth and the “last great hope of mankind.” mail@queertampa.com
It is precisely this kind of venom and exaggeration from the gay community that will result in continued rejection by the American people of improving gay rights. It is amazing that the HRC, NGLTF, and QueerTampa haven’t figured that out by now. At least pretend you love your country!

Chemicals Tip Sparked Raid – Sydney Morning Herald
Reports a group of men were stockpiling chemicals to carry out a terrorist attack in Australia led to raids in Sydney and Melbourne, NSW Premier Morris Iemma says.
Seventeen men have been arrested and charged with terrorism related offences in Sydney and Melbourne, Australian Federal Police say.

Grim Milestone Marked in Al-Qaeda Offensive in France, Bomb Factory Found
Oh l’horreur!

So far more than 800 people have been arrested and 3,500 vehicles torched, mainly in the working-class, high-immigration [GP translation – Muslim-populated] outer suburbs of Paris where unemployment is as high as 20 percent.
And just in case you didn’t think this was a planned tactic by Al-Qaeda…a bomb factory was found.
Meanwhile six youths, all aged under 18, were last night arrested in a raid on a building in Evry, south of Paris, during which more than 100 bottles, gallons of fuel and hoods for hiding rioters’ faces were also found.
Yet President “Neville” Chirac says “respect for all, justice and equal opportunity,” were needed to end the unrest, despite stating that it was an “absolute priority” to re-establish order. That rings as hollow as John Kerry saying if elected, he would “hunt down the terrorists,” in a tone of voice as if they were some abstract piece of art Teresa had purchased for him.
